In this guest episode we chat to Aditya Jain, a Harvard medical school student who authored an article highlighting the growing trend of medical professionals choosing non-clinical careers, many because they desire to pursue Purpose and Impact.
He raised the fact that historically, there has been a lot of shame around wanting to leave a career in clinical practice, but increasingly there is acknowledgement that when health professionals choose non-clinical paths that better align with their personal interests, that this is not a loss to healthcare, but actually represents a win for all stakeholders, particularly if these non-clinical careers serve healthcare in other ways.
